Girls Flag Football

Girls Flag Football Performance Training

Build the Speed, Strength, and Skill to Change the Game

Girls flag football is fast, competitive, and increasingly specialized. Athletes must be able to accelerate quickly, change direction under control, create separation, react in space, and repeat explosive efforts throughout the game.

At TORK Sports Performance, we help middle school, high school, and college flag football athletes develop the physical qualities that translate directly to the field.

Our training combines strength and power development, speed and agility work, movement assessment, and position-specific preparation to help athletes become faster, stronger, more confident, and more durable.

Train with purpose. Compete with confidence.

Flag Football Requires More Than Speed

Flag football is played in space, but success depends on much more than running fast in a straight line.

Athletes must be able to:

  • Accelerate and reach top speed quickly
  • Decelerate without losing balance or control
  • Cut and change direction efficiently
  • React to defenders, routes, and open space
  • Create separation from coverage
  • Maintain speed while catching or throwing
  • Repeat explosive efforts without a major drop in performance
  • Stay strong and durable throughout the season

TORK training is designed around these demands.

We do not simply put athletes through random drills. We identify what each athlete needs and build a plan that improves the qualities most important to her position and development.

Performance Training for Every Position

Quarterbacks

Quarterbacks need more than a strong arm. They must create force from the ground, maintain control through the trunk, move efficiently in the pocket, and deliver accurate throws from different positions.

Quarterback development may include:

  • Throwing-related mobility and strength
  • Rotational power development
  • Lower-body force production
  • Shoulder and arm-care training
  • Strength and durability for repeated throwing

Wide Receivers and Centers

Receivers must accelerate, create separation, control their body through route breaks, and maintain speed while tracking and catching the football.

Training may include:

  • Rotator cuff strengthening
  • Scapular stability training
  • Mobility and recovery protocols
  • Landing mechanics training to reduce knee stress
  • ACL risk reduction strategies

Defensive Backs and Rushers

Defenders must react quickly, move efficiently in multiple directions, and close space without losing control.

Training may include:

  • Hip turns and change of direction
  • Reactive agility
  • Lateral acceleration
  • Repeated-sprint conditioning

All-Around Athletes

Many girls play multiple positions, particularly at the youth and high school levels. Our programs can develop the broad athletic qualities needed to perform on both sides of the ball.

Assessment-Driven. Athlete-Specific.

Every athlete has different strengths, limitations, movement strategies, and training needs.

Before building the program, we evaluate the athlete to better understand how she moves and produces force.

The assessment may include:

  • Mobility and range of motion
  • Fundamental movement patterns
  • Lower-body strength
  • Single-leg control
  • Core and trunk stability
  • Jumping and landing mechanics
  • Acceleration technique
  • Change-of-direction ability
  • Strength and power output
  • Sport- and position-specific demands

This process helps us identify opportunities for improvement and create a more individualized training plan.

At TORK, we assess — then we build.

Strength and Power Development

Strength provides the foundation for speed, explosiveness, and durability.

Our athletes learn proper lifting technique while progressively developing the ability to produce and control force.

Training may include:

  • Lower-body strength
  • Single-leg strength and stability
  • Upper-body strength
  • Core and rotational strength
  • Hip and hamstring development
  • Jumping and landing preparation
  • Explosive power exercises
  • Age-appropriate resistance training

Programs are adjusted according to the athlete’s age, experience, physical development, and training history.

The goal is not simply to lift heavier weights. The goal is to build strength that transfers to better movement and performance on the field.

Training to Support Injury Resilience

The greatest ability is availability.

Girls flag football involves frequent sprinting, cutting, landing, reaching, and rapid changes of direction. Preparing the body for those demands is an important part of long-term athletic development.

Our programs emphasize:

  • Proper landing and deceleration mechanics
  • Single-leg strength and control
  • Hip and hamstring strength
  • Trunk stability
  • Shoulder strength and mobility
  • Gradual progression of speed and training volume
  • Balanced development across the body

No training program can eliminate injury risk. However, athletes can improve their capacity to handle the demands of practice and competition.

Built for the Female Athlete

Female athletes deserve training that recognizes both the demands of their sport and their individual stage of development.

Our coaches focus on building strong, capable athletes through appropriate progressions, quality movement, and consistent coaching.

Athletes are taught how to:

  • Move with confidence
  • Lift with proper technique
  • Understand their training
  • Develop strength without sacrificing speed
  • Compete with greater physical confidence
  • Build habits that support long-term development

The objective is not to train every athlete the same way. It is to help each athlete develop the tools she needs to perform at a higher level.

Who Is This Program For?

TORK girls flag football performance training is appropriate for:

  • Middle school athletes
  • High school junior varsity and varsity athletes
  • Club and travel flag football players
  • Multi-sport athletes
  • Quarterbacks, receivers, centers, defensive backs, and rushers
  • New players building an athletic foundation
  • Experienced players preparing for higher levels of competition
  • College athletes seeking structured offseason development

Training can be adapted for athletes with different experience levels and goals.

Offseason, Preseason, and In-Season Training

Offseason Development

The offseason provides the best opportunity to make significant improvements in strength, speed, power, and movement quality.

Athletes can train with greater volume while gradually building the physical foundation needed for the next season.

Preseason Preparation

Preseason training shifts toward increased speed, reactive movement, repeated sprint ability, and position-specific demands.

The goal is to enter practice prepared—not use the first several weeks of the season to get into shape.

In-Season Support

In-season training helps athletes maintain strength, manage workload, and continue developing without interfering with games and team practices.

Programs can be adjusted around the athlete’s competition schedule.

Why Train at TORK?

TORK Sports Performance provides a focused, individualized environment for athletes who want to improve.

Our approach includes:

  • Comprehensive athlete assessment
  • Individualized training progressions
  • Professional strength and conditioning
  • Sport- and position-specific development
  • Speed and movement coaching
  • Strength, power, mobility, and resilience training
  • Coaching for middle school through college athletes
  • Communication focused on long-term development

We are not interested in making athletes tired for the sake of making them tired.

Every drill, exercise, and progression should have a purpose.

Prepare for the Next Level

Whether an athlete is preparing for her first season, competing for a varsity position, pursuing college opportunities, or simply trying to become a more complete player, physical preparation matters.

Speed can create separation.

Strength can improve control and durability.

Better movement can help athletes express their skills more effectively.

Confidence grows when athletes know they have prepared.
